Garrett Update 05/29/06

A Sleeping Baby Garrett is a happy Mom and Dad! After 2 months of Garrett crying for hours on end we think that we are finally on the right track to getting him to feel better! He was diagnosed with GER (baby reflux) at the age of 2 weeks. He has been on a variety of medicines and formulas to help him to feel better and to try to control the choking episodes that he would have daily. We have been frequent visitors at Children's Hospital with Garrett undergoing many tests. After seeing a specialist this week, Garrett was being treated for the possibility that his stomach was not properly emptying after his meals which would be the cause of the choking. They put him on another medicine to see if that was the problem and since he has started we have noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference! Garrett has been so happy and fun again! We are still working out the kinks as the medicine hurts his tummy but we feel confident that we are on the right track! We are grateful for the support of the friends and family who have graciously given of their time to come over and help us when we needed to give our arms a break or someone to just to keep us sane through all of the crying days and give us a chance to get out of the house for a while. We are truly blessed!
