THE LAST 24 HOURS!!

Well, there are those times as a parent that you really wish you could run away....thus was the case the last 24 hours!

Most of you are aware that Garrett was born with GI problems and although we have been through a lot since he was born, he has really had a great last year or so. Unfortunately we started Saturday morning with Garrett crying for an hour and a half and trying to "push" (thank you to the Anderson Tummy)...he was miserable and as the crying got worse and the hugs weren't helping, daddy thought it might be easier to put him on his back and push his legs back to see if it would help.....short version of a long morning, mommy had to put on the medical gloves (thank you Gwen, they have been a lifesaver more than once) and pull the largest bowel out of the poor kid that I have ever seen, he was instantly relieved! Because he was concentrated on Daddy, after we relieved him of his misery, he looked at Jeff and said "tank you Daddy"...Jeff was the hero the rest of the day. Within another 10 minutes he pushed another out that was the size of my palm and now he has been happy as a clam. We decided after the trauma to bring him to his favorite place for Chicken Nuggets.

On our way in to McDonalds, Auntie Anne wasn't watching where she was going and fell...did quite a number on her leg....needless to say, it felt like we had 3 kids for the weekend. It had to get better right????? It was not in the cards, now we have Aislinn with the same problem, a suppository and some Senna and she was good to go, with out the drama of Garrett.

Now to Sunday...what a fun day..we ran errands in the morning and played in the afternoon. The fun began when Jeff decided to give Aislinn a bath and while he was squirting soap in his hand, she decided to try to turn and thus went underwater...panicked daddy a bit, but he was a trooper and got the water out of her lungs and she was none worse for the wear (Daddy on the other hand wasn't). Next, one would think that after the mouse fiasco mommy would learn to listen to Garrett. Sunday evening he kept telling us his tummy hurt and crying a bit, nothing major...so we kissed his tummy and sent him on his way. Well he complained of it at least a half an hour. Mommy decided to rock with him to see if he was just wanting some cuddle time, the crying got worse, so I put him on the ground to check his diaper and then the projectile vomit happened! Oh what a smell!!! Of course the poor kid didn't know what was happening..so Daddy got to clean the carpet and mommy got to run G up to the tub for a rinse down. Thankfully he woke up this morning and said "Mommy, tummy good today!". We will take the small blessings.....
