We Just Can't Win

Some days you would like to just throw in the towel as a parent. After the month we have had I called Auntie Shelley at work yesterday and told her I was done being a mom! While giving Garrett a bath yesterday I noticed that he had these huge infected welts on his back. So of course like any good mom I freaked. I took a picture and sent it to Jeff at work and my parents to see what it was. So needless to say after back and forth calls I made a doctor appointment. So off we are at 2:00 to see Anna at the clinic (mind you we were having family pictures at 6:00 so we are making it tight). So, Anna takes one look at it and tells me that it is a skin infection, but she needed to take a culture to see which one it is. So it took three of us to hold him down while they lanced his back and took a sample (they had to lance it twice). My poor baby screamed..he said that he was all better and wanted to go home. It crushed me...sometimes I think it is harder on moms than the kids. To top off the appointment the poor boy has an ear infection (I didn't see that one coming). Today we are taking him to Target to get get a prize for being such a big boy.

Joyce ended up doing an amazing job with our family pictures! We can't wait to see the sneak peaks...we will post them as soon as we see them.

As I type, Jeff is feeding Aislinn rice cereal for breakfast and she is just not sure what that stuff is. The look on her face is priceless. Of course he keeps getting in the way of her watching Handy Manny...oh well!
